Gees Carry on the Tradition of Service

Gil and Kim Gee of McNeilly Garage Door Service and Gee Building Systems of Shenandoah, Iowa keep busy these days running a family-owned business they've been building since 1998.  Carrying on the tradition of the McNeilly family, who started selling grain bins and quonset buildings in 1956, the Gees, along with their trusted staff have now also branched out into Wick buildings along with their staple, garage doors and garage door service.  The Gees are also deeply involved in economic development in Southwest Iowa, especially in Fremont and Page counties, where they tirelessly promote the area as a great place to live and raise a family.  Hoping to spur further economic development, they also look to attract more young people to " come back home," by pushing for more technology-based businesses and hi-tech attention-getters such as WI-FI.  While working hard to make that happen, they continue to look to the future with their business, knowing that a high level of customer service is what it takes to be successful and build for the future.

Gee Systems wins a 2009 NFBA Retrofit and Remodel Award!

From Construction MagnetAn award goes to the Gee Retrofit/ Remodel built for Kim and Gil Gee which updated the Gees’ 80-year-old existing home. One part is living space and the other is an attached garage. Since the owners are post-frame builders, it was an easy decision to build a post-frame addition. They were able to really “put their money where their mouths are” and build an energy-efficient, nice-looking addition to their home. Moreover, the construction and design were done to assure the addition was fully enclosed prior to opening the new section to the old.
